Tag & Tissue

Tag & Tissue is MadGrey LLC's site for watches and the accessories that go with them. It is built for people shopping for a watch, or for someone who wears one, and who would rather read specifications than marketing copy.

What the site covers

The site is organized around the questions people actually type into a search box. Which watch suits a particular person and a particular budget. Which strap style fits which case, and what the lug width has to do with it. Whether a winder is worth owning, and what storage actually protects a watch. How to clean a case and a bracelet without damaging either. Those are the subjects Tag & Tissue is being built to cover, in plain language, with the reasoning shown rather than hidden.

Picks are made on published specifications, build quality, and whether a piece makes sense at its price point — not on brand prestige and not on whatever happens to be promoted that month. Where a watch or accessory has been handled directly, the write-up says so. Where a recommendation rests on manufacturer specifications and the stated criteria instead, the write-up says that too. Being explicit about which of the two you are reading is the point; a reader can only weigh a recommendation if they know what it is based on.

Tag & Tissue is funded by affiliate commissions: some links to retailers earn a commission if you buy through them. That funding never decides what gets recommended or in what order. Rankings are not for sale, and no retailer or manufacturer gets to influence a pick. The commission arrangement is disclosed on the site itself, and MadGrey LLC applies the same rule across every site in the portfolio.

Coverage

  • Watch gift guides, organized by who you are buying for
  • Strap and bracelet types, lug widths, and replacements
  • Watch winders, cases, and storage
  • Care and cleaning tools
  • Buying guides by budget

A reader gets a shortlist they can act on, with the specifications and the reasoning behind each pick shown openly.

How this site is funded

Tag & Tissue earns affiliate commissions on some links to retailers. Those commissions never influence which products are recommended or how they are ranked. The full affiliate disclosure sets out how it works across every site MadGrey LLC operates.
