Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy covers madgreyllc.com, the brand hub for MadGrey LLC. It describes what this site collects and nothing more — each site in the portfolio publishes its own policy covering its own behavior.

Who controls your data

MadGrey LLC is the data controller for this site. All privacy requests go to contact@madgreyllc.com, which reaches the owner directly.

What the contact form collects

The form on the contact page is the only place this site asks you for anything. It collects:

  • Your name, so a reply can be addressed to you.
  • Your email address, which is the only way a reply can reach you.
  • A subject line, which is optional.
  • Your message.

Submitting the form sends those fields as an email to the MadGrey LLC inbox using Microsoft Graph, Microsoft's email API. Your email address is set as the reply-to address on that message so a reply goes back to you rather than to a no-reply alias. There is no database behind this site: form submissions are not stored in one, because none exists.

Spam prevention, and the one thing it touches

The form is protected without a captcha, which means no third-party captcha provider receives anything about you. Three checks run instead: a hidden field that only automated scripts fill in, a check that the form was not submitted within a few seconds of loading, and a limit on how many messages one network address may send per hour.

That last check is the only one that touches an identifier: your IP address is held in the server's memory to count submissions, and it is discarded within the hour or whenever the server process restarts, whichever comes first. It is never written to disk, never included in the email, and never shared.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. GA4 sets its own cookies in your browser and collects technical information including your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. Google processes that data as a provider on our behalf; their handling of it is governed by Google's own privacy terms.

Nothing else runs here. This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no ad network, carries no affiliate links and therefore no affiliate tracking, hosts no chat widget, and embeds no social media scripts. Browser-level blocking of analytics cookies does not break any part of the site.

How long things are kept

Contact form emails stay in the MadGrey LLC inbox for as long as they remain useful — an open correction or an active conversation — and are deleted once they are not. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. The transient IP record described above lasts under an hour.

Asking for your data, or its deletion

Email contact@madgreyllc.com and ask for a copy of what we hold about you, a correction to it, or its deletion. Because the only personal data this site holds is the email you sent and anything in it, honoring a deletion request means deleting that email thread, which we will do on request. Please send the request from the address you originally wrote from, or tell us enough to find the message — otherwise we cannot tell which thread is yours.

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can block analytics cookies in your browser or install Google's own opt-out browser add-on. Neither affects how the site works.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us a message, email the address above and it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it and the last-updated date at the top is revised. We do not keep an archive of previous versions; the date is there so you can tell whether anything has moved since you last read it.
