About MadGrey LLC
MadGrey LLC is an independent publisher of watch and accessory review sites. This page is the accountability layer for all of them: who stands behind the work, how picks get made, what the testing claim actually means, and how the money works. If any site in the portfolio fails to live up to what is written here, this is the standard to hold it to.

Who runs this
MadGrey LLC is owner-operated. I am Brijon M., the hands-on owner behind MadGrey LLC — the person who picks the subjects, sets the rules below, and answers for the output. There is no editorial board above me, no network buying placement, and no commercial team with a say over what gets recommended.
I will be straight about what that does and does not mean. It means decisions are traceable to one person who can be reached at contact@madgreyllc.com and who has no incentive to shade a recommendation for a third party. It does not mean a large staff, a testing facility, or decades of archive behind it. MadGrey LLC is new. Judge it on the reasoning it shows, not on claims about itself.
Editorial standards
Four rules govern every site in the portfolio.
Specifications before adjectives
A pick starts from measurable facts — case dimensions, movement, water-resistance rating, lug width, materials, warranty terms — and what those facts cost. Where two pieces are close on specification, the write-up says what separates them instead of reaching for a superlative.
The reasoning is shown, not asserted
Every recommendation explains who it is for and what you give up at that price. A reader who disagrees should be able to see exactly where the judgment was made and reach a different conclusion from the same evidence. A verdict with no visible reasoning is not a review.
Rankings are not for sale
No retailer, brand, or affiliate program can buy a position, a mention, or a better rating. Commission rates are not a ranking factor, and a product that earns nothing can and will outrank one that pays well if it is the better choice.
Corrections are made in public
If a specification is wrong or a pick no longer holds, the page gets corrected and its last-updated date changes with it. If you find an error, tell us and it gets fixed.
What hands-on means here
Hands-on where that is possible, and said plainly when it is not. That distinction matters more than most sites admit, so here is exactly where the line sits.
When a watch, strap, winder, or case has actually been handled, the write-up says so and describes what handling it revealed — how a bracelet sits, whether a clasp is fiddly, how a strap breaks in, whether a case finish looks like its photographs. That is the kind of thing specifications cannot tell you and the only honest source for it is having the object in your hands.
When a pick rests on published manufacturer specifications and the criteria above rather than personal handling, the write-up says that instead. It is a legitimate basis for a recommendation — a lug width and a water-resistance rating are facts regardless of who measured them — but it is a different basis, and you are entitled to know which one you are reading.
What you will never read on a MadGrey LLC site is a claim of lab testing, instrumented measurement, or a testing facility. None of those exists here. A site that implies otherwise is asking you to trust equipment it does not own, and that is the opposite of what this page is for.
Affiliate disclosure
The review sites MadGrey LLC operates earn affiliate commissions. When you buy through some of the retailer links on those sites, we receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. That commission funds the work. It never decides which products are recommended, or in what order they are ranked.
In practice that means four things. Commission rates are never a ranking input. A product with no affiliate program at all can take the top recommendation. Links that earn a commission are disclosed on the page where they appear, not buried in a footer. And no brand, retailer, or network sees a draft before publication or has any right of approval over it.
This hub itself carries no affiliate links and no product links at all. It exists to point at the sites and to state these rules in one place. The disclosure lives here as well as on each site so that there is a single version of it you can hold every site to.
How subjects are chosen
A subject earns a site when there is a genuine buying decision in it and the advice already available is mostly marketing copy. Watches and watch accessories qualify on both counts: the decisions are real, the price spread is enormous, and a great deal of what is written about them is either brand promotion or pure enthusiast shorthand that a first-time buyer cannot use.
Each site covers one subject rather than spreading across a dozen categories, because depth is the only durable advantage a small publisher has. You can see the current list on the portfolio page, and if a site you expect to see is not there yet, it is because it is not live — the portfolio lists what exists, not what is planned as if it already shipped.
